Puisque la musique en ligne me nargue, j'en reviens aux bons vieux fondamentaux, l'optique! Justement, moi qui n'achète plus très souvent de CDs, je me suis laissé tenté il y a quelques temps par un groupe que j'avais entendu sur TSF Jazz, l'Avishai Cohen Trio, et leur dernier album, "Gently Disturbed". La radio passait en boucle leur "Ever Evolving Etude", qui pète bien, mais l'ensemble du disque est très bon, bien articulé, et s'écoute en boucle avec plaisir.

C'est du Jazz moderne et (cependant?) très écoutable, joué avec beaucoup de dextérité par Avishai Cohen à la basse, Mark Guiliana à la batterie et Shai Maestro (le bien nommé!) au piano. J'aime particulièrement la manière dont la basse et le piano jouent ensemble, atteignant parfois des sonorités des plus étonnantes, et des rythmes qui demeurent dans l'oreille. En dehors de l'Ever Evolving Etude, mention spéciale à Eleven Wives, totalement hypnotique.

It's modern Jazz and (however) very easy to listened to, played with dexterity by Avishai Cohen at the bass, Mark Guiliana at the drums, and Shai Maestro (aptly named) at the piano. I particularely like the way the bass and the piano play together, sometimes finding astonishing sonorities, and rhythms that stay in the ear long afterwards. Outside the Ever Evolving Etude, special mention to Eleven Wives, totally hypnotic.
