Cauchemar logique

Logical nightmare

A few nights ago, I had a terrible dream. I had an mathematical expression that I absolutely had to reduce (or transform, I thankfully don't remember the details too well), and whatever the way I was trying, I was always banging my head against a monstruous absurdity, a delirous impossibility, and the more I was trying, the more I was getting lost into this frightening maze, having only in my view this little formula on a black background.

Goodies

Canary Wharf is the empire of goodies. At least once a week, sometimes more, in front of the tube entrance, there are a few young people offering free stuff. Most of the time, these are flyers with reduced or free drinks or food, but sometimes, there are chocolate bars, orange juices, or more esoteric things like a bag of rice to be warmed in the micro-wave, or, like yesterday night, a free issue from a big daily newspaper. But the top of the top has been the giant hand from an American football team (the Dolphins, if my memory is good, but don't ask me what they were doing there), immediately transformed by my boss into the "Finger of blame", that you can point at the ones you want to blame for something. The finger broke after 3 days of overuse.

It's already time to prepare for Christmas! All the restaurants around are advertising their Christmas meal, form Zizzi the Italian to the local Indian.

Allow me to wait a bit before having any concern about the end of year.

Since a few weeks I have started on the problems from project Euler, website regrouping about 165 problems (so far) associating maths and computing, the goal being to resolve an algorithmic problem as efficiently as possible. For the moment, I have solved problems 1 to 10, and I believe that I have the right method for problem 12. In regard to solutions proposed by others, I would be in the "half-brute" category.
