J'ai laissé ma montre chez le bijoutier pour qu'il me remplace la batterie. Comme apparemment je suis l'heureux propriétaire d'un modèle qu'il faut "resceller", c'est forcément plus compliqué (et plus cher!). Non content de me la garder pour 4 semaines, il me fait payer l'équivalent d'un bon repas pour deux.

Et surtout, comment vais-je faire pour savoir l'heure, maintenant? A mon avis, les bijoutiers devraient être comme les garagistes: pendant les réparations, ils devraient en prêter une autre!


I left my watch at the jeweler so that he would replace the battery. Since I am apparently the happy owner of a model that needs to be "resealed", it's of course more complicated (and more expensive). Not only he keeps it for 4 weeks, but he makes me pay the equivalent of a good meal for two.

And now, how will I know the time it is? In my humble opinion, jewelers should be like car repairmen: during the time of the reparations, they should lend another!
