Pourquoi M87? M87 est la galaxie n°87 du catalogue Messier (aucun rapport avec Jean-Marie), du nom de l'astronome français qui a répertorié tout un tas d'objets célestes. M87 est une très grosse, très lointaine galaxie avec un énorme trou noir en son sein. Dès lors, il m'a semblé particulièrement adapté de baptiser mon blog ainsi!

Why M87? M87 is the galaxy n°87 from the Messier catalog, made by a french astronomer in the XVIII century. It is a very big, very far galaxy, with a gigantic black hole in its center. Therefore, it looked like it would be perfect to name this blog!
