J'en avais rêvé, forcément, quelqu'un l'a fait: dans midomi.com, l'on peut fredonner quelques notes ou mots d'une chanson, et le site tente de la retrouver. C'est ainsi que j'ai découvert "Bitter Sweet Symphony" de "the Verve", en chantant l'introduction dans mon micro, après l'avoir entendue dans un restaurant. Trouvé du premier coup!

Apparemment, les membres sur le site ont la possibilité d'enregistrer eux-mêmes leur petit bout de chanson, qui va plus tard aider leur moteur de recherche à associer correctement. Beau boulot!

Par contre, il reste une chanson qui m'échappe (et ceci depuis plusieurs années, ça m'énerve!), et là, le site n'a pas pu aider...


I had dreamed about that, of course, someone had done it! In midomi.com, you can hum a few seconds of a song, and the website will try to find it. That's how I discovered "Bitter Sweet Symphony" from "the Verve", by singing the introduction in my microphone, after hearing it in a restaurant. Found it the first time!

Apparently, members of this website have the possibility of recording their own humming session, to help matching in their search engine for subsequent requests.

Although, there is still a song that's escaping from me (and this from several years, I'm getting frustrated!), and there, the website could not help me...

En ces temps troublés, la Banque a décidé de frapper fort pour réduire les coûts: apposer sur les murs des toilettes des affichettes appelant à la modération quant aux produits sanitaires. Et d'égrener les statistiques annuelles:

* 25 000 000 de feuilles pour s'essuyer les mains
* 260 000 rouleaux de PQ
* 10 000 litres de savon

Ils avaient bien essayé d'introduire des sèche-mains, mais les gonzes situés à proximité des gogues s'étaient plaint du bruit. Le chemin vers le respect de l'environnement est semé d'embuches...

They tried to introduce some hand dryers, but the guys neighbouring the lavatories complained that it was too noisy. The path toward environmental friendliness is littered with traps...
