Enfin retrouvé!

Cela ne faisait que 15 ans que je cherchais à mettre la main sur les partitions de ce morceau. Je savais que c'était Chopin, et je savais que c'était Horowitz (encore un de mes dieux personnels) qui jouait. J'avais écouté cette cassette, dans mon enfance, sur mon vieux baladeur, jusqu'à ce qu'elle en crève, et ce morceau m'obnubilait.

J'ai finalement réussi il y a de cela quelques années à mettre un nom sur la musique, grâce à l'excellent film "Le Pianiste". Il s'agit de l'Andante spianato et Grande Polonaise brillante en mi bémol majeur. L'enregistrement d'Horowitz semble pratiquement introuvable (en tout cas dans le royaume uni), mais les partitions sont disponibles dans le domaine public, et je viens de les trouver!

Je n'ai plus qu'à sérieusement améliorer mes talents de pianiste.


Found at last!

It had just been 15 years since I was trying to put my hands on the music sheets of this piece. I knew it was Chopin, and I knew that Horowitz (another one of my personnal gods) was playing. I had listened to this tape, in my childhood, on my old Walkman, until the tape decayed, and this piece was obsessing me.

I finally found out a few years ago the name of the piece, thanks to the amazing movie "The Pianist". It was the Andante spianato and Grande Polonaise brillante in E flat major. The record from Horowitz seems almost impossible to find (at least in the UK), but the music sheets are in the public domain, and I finally found them today!

Well I just have to seriously improve my piano skills.
